So, I decided to pick up my steampunk tarot in the form of traditional mediums, rather than digital. I have gotten as far as the basic design for up to card 11, the Justice card.
The challenge, however, is number 12. The hanged man is a card so steeped in mythology, I'm not sure what to do with it. To give you an idea of what the cards imagery represents, it is this - Odin hung himself from the world tree (Yggdrasil to be specific) for nine days in order to earn the knowledge of the Runes. In the Rider-Waite deck, he is suspended by his foot from a tree branch.
Since this is Steampunk, I'm not really sure where to go with it. I may have to temporarily pass over the card and come back to it later. The basic design must remain the same, a man suspended upside down. It's the rest I'm having trouble with. Oh well. I'll figure something out. Eventually...
Anyways, moving away from that particular artistic endeavor, I know that some people have been waiting with bated breath for my next piece of Jareth art. I do plan on drawing the monarch again sometime soon, however I simply haven't had the inspiration yet. I need a really good mental image before I can get started, and seeing as I've been simply dabbling on my brother in law's computer to get what I've gotten done...well, done. I can't draw something that isn't in my heart, either, so I will likely have to wait until I have that stroke of inspiration.
I have definitely been getting a great deal of questions regarding my fanfics and when I will be posting them. Unfortunately, with all of my actually planned stories, such as For Every King and Beyond the Veil, the original plans are on my very deceased laptop, which means that until I can salvage the hard drive, they will remain, quite unfortunately, in limbo. Whisper, I have begun working upon once more, as well as a few others which are at various stages of completion. Some of these will never actually be viewed by the public, as I vew them cliche, and not very well written. Others I must transfer from handwritten form into digital so that they may be posted. Among that particular group may be several DA only fics, quite probably among them my revised versions of the Laby Cinderella story I wrote (which still needs work), and the one-shot Foam on the Water, which is based on the Little Sea Maid (Note the title is not the same as the Disney version. There is a reason for that). Either way, I'll be trying to get the last two to three chapters of Whisper done first, followed by the fanfic Monster (MTNN, and on ff.net only at the moment. I may post it here, eventually).
Anyways, thanks to everyone for the support and understanding, and I'll try to get that Laby Fanart up as a proper thanks. Love everybody to bits.

When Life gives you lemons, either
a) send them back and demand chocolate
b) throw them back at Life (with bricks) and shout 'You Suck!', or
c)make grape juice and let the world wonder how you did it
...
or make lemonade, but where's the fun in that?
